Description
This dataset contains summary data on the location of sites where AmeriCorps members and Senior Corps volunteers served between 2/10/2016 and 2/10/2017, as well as the administrative location of all CNCS-supported programs and projects from the same time period. This dataset is drawn from the CNCS State Profiles 2016-2017 reports.

- This dataset comes from administrative data provided to CNCS by grantee/sponsor organizations.
- Limitations
- (1) The locations in this dataset are not “real time,” meaning they are not necessarily active on the date of viewing this dataset. (2) Due to varying performance and reporting periods and requirements, both across and within CNCS programs, some data values may appear as zero or blank in this dataset. (3) Location data is masked so as not to reveal the exact street address of potentially sensitive service sites and programs. The location remains in the general vicinity of the actual location. Some sites may be completely masked due to beneficiary privacy concerns. (4) Services may be provided at some Program/Project Locations as well as Service Locations, either by members and volunteers or by the organization directly. (5) The ‘AmeriCorps Territory’ code does not include the U.S. Territories Guam or Puerto Rico, which are managed as AmeriCorps State Competitive and AmeriCorps State Formula awards. (6) The ‘AmeriCorps State Without Commission’ code is for single state direct project relationships between CNCS and the grantee. These can include programs operating in a state without a state commission or some special program types, such as some justice AmeriCorps programs. (7) ‘AmeriCorps Indian Tribes’ may not include all awards to tribal entities. (8) Locations data found in the dataset that are not rendering on maps may have latitude/longitude or underlying address inaccuracies.
